Text recognition (OCR) plugin

With the searchit Text Recognition (OCR) plugin, searchit automatically recognizes text in scans and in images of text and makes it searchable.

Specifically, the OCR plugin includes the following functions:

  • Text recognition: recognition of text in scans or images
  • Read and copy text: the recognised text appears in the text preview and can be copied from there
  • Scalability: the compute-intensive text recognition can be scaled across computer clusters
